Jessica Taran

Jessica has over 20 years of experience representing individuals and entities, including private and public companies, in a variety of commercial litigation matters across industries. No matter the value of the case, Jessica is committed to finding practical and creative solutions for her clients and prides herself on being responsive and available to her clients to help them navigate through the legal, analytical, and emotional complexities of litigation.

Jessica regularly practices in state and federal courts, as well as representations in arbitration. She has handled litigation involving fraud, negligence, breach of contract, and trade secret and intellectual property related disputes. Jessica handles every aspect of litigation including case preparation, pleading motions, discovery, dispositive motions, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial.

In addition to commercial litigation, Jessica has also developed a niche practice in complex judgment enforcement matters, often assisting other attorneys, and clients with navigating the complex recovery of judgments (either in favor of or against the clients) in commercial, breach of contract, employment, and family law matters, in addition to judgments arising out of criminal restitution fines.

Prior to joining London & Naor, Jessica was a partner with Niesar Vestal LLP for several years, and prior to that, Jessica had a successful solo practice in San Francisco.  Before returning to her hometown of San Francisco, Jessica spent twelve years in New York, where she was an associate at Wilk Auslander LLP.

Jessica is fluent in Russian and regularly counsels Russian-speaking clients based in the United States and abroad. She is also proficient in Italian.

Representative Matters

  • Obtained a favorable seven-figure settlement in favor of a foreign advisor of a California based entity
  • Spearheaded successful arbitration effort, winning substantial settlement for billion-dollar company founders
  • Assisted in representation of a hedge fund in connection with enforcement of a $30 million judgment against a former chief executive officer
  • Successfully represented shareholders and cofounders in their dispute with a former chief executive officer and cofounder, resulting in a seven-figure arbitration award
  • Successfully recovered on a judgment against a defunct entity by levying on a small private plane
  • Prevailed on an investor’s claim for breach of a promissory note and recovered against defendant entity by obtaining an assignment of a patent
